PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
 Jeanne Glick

Happy New Year! I was so sorry to miss our December meeting – I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season.

There’s so much talk about resolutions – Do you make them? Do you keep them? – that I’ve been thinking about my own approach to turning the calendar. I don’t generally make resolutions or if I do I don’t seem to keep them. Now that I’ve moved into my new sewing room and have sorted and organized, I am going to try a resolution again. I resolve to work on only those projects which truly interest me and not get bogged down by those which no longer appeal to me. I’ve learned that if I force myself to work on something that doesn’t interest me I just don’t work on anything. That has added up to a lot of frustration over the years, believe me!

So far this season we have been fortunate in regards to inclement weather – well except for the rain we seem to get for every meeting. But, if the weather does actually become winter-like, please listen to the local radio stations and check your e-mail. Our meeting will not be held if school or after school activities in the Arlington Central School District have been cancelled. If you receive your newsletter by e-mail you will receive an e-mail; if not you will receive a phone call. Also, if you hear of the cancellation I’d ask that you relay the info to your friends. I’d rather have two notices of a cancellation than go out to a meeting that won’t be held.

I hope that all those planning to attend the retreat have made their final payments. I’ve heard that the sign ups have been good – we should have a great time.

See you all at the meeting January 18, 2012, doors open at 6:30. Jeanne Glick
